The Friends of The Wisdom Hospice has great corporate support from many local businesses;

The Football League pitches in for hospice care
This season, Gillingham Football Club has teamed up with The Friends of The Wisdom Hospice as part of The Football League’s official charity partnership with Help the Hospices.
Caroline Ford said: “As in life, in football, you never know what’s around the corner – and you never know when you or someone you know might need hospice care. With Gillingham’s support, your local hospice will carry on helping seriously ill people in Medway and Swale to live well until they die.
Hospice care is free for everyone who needs it, but it is not free to provide. Giilingham Football Club will raise vital funds for the hospice by organising collections at matches and taking part in challenge events. Two collections have been booked to take place at the Priestfield Stadium this season. They are on Saturday 8th October (Port Vale game) which coincides with Hospice Care Week and Saturday 5th May (Morecambe game).

Last season, Football League crowds topped 16 million; statistically half of those attending games will know someone who has been cared for by a hospice.

Banking on their support...
We are extremely grateful to the staff of the Chatham Customer Care Team from RBS who have been helping out the Friends over the past few months through the RBS and NatWest Employee Volunteering Scheme.  Team members have taken on a range of tasks including assisting with setting up the Summer Fair and working in the teashop at Restoration House.
A team from Lloyds TSB have also been involved in sprucing up the patio area and repainting the patio furniture – a task not dissimilar to painting the Forth Bridge!
It is good to know that the big banks are putting something back into their local community.

Sainsbury’s Sittingbourne try something new....
After an exhaustive selection process the Colleagues’ Council at Sainsbury’s in Sittingbourne decided that they would like to support three local charities throughout the coming year. The Friends of The Wisdom Hospice has been chosen to benefit from collections at the checkouts and customer service desk. You will be able to see our bright purple buckets in all these locations so please be generous with your loose change.  Thank you to everyone who voted for the Friends on the initial nomination process and to the Council for choosing to support us.

We are pleased to announce that the Roffen Club, in Rochester, has chosen the Friends of the Wisdom Hospice as their nominated charity for 2010/2011.  This is great news!

Martin Tolhurst Solicitors have chosen The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice as one of their charity partners for the year. Staff undertook a major challenge last month and raised £2,500 through their Snowdon climb.

Thank you to everyone who is or who has supported The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice over the last 26 years, we really appreciate the local corporate support and couldn’t do it without you!

If your company supports the ‘Charity of the Year’ scheme then why not encourage them to choose The Friends of The Wisdom Hospice next year? Go on, support your local Hospice!
