Sunflower Appeal 2008 Collections
The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice use these collections as an opportunity to increase awareness of our work and to raise valuable funds. We have gained permission from several superstores to collect at their stores, we will also be placing boxes of attractive fabric sunflowers emblems at any shops/pubs/schools that wish to participate. We also have Sunflower Appeal Loose Change Boxes for supporters to use at home or work. There are several ways in which supporters can help us:-
For further details on any of the above please contact Emma Dengate Fundraising Co-ordinator on 01634 831163. |

Lights for Love CeremonyRochester Cathedral. 5.25pm. Free. The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice invite you to be a part of our Lights for Love Appeal. Three beautiful Trees, one each at Rochester Cathedral, Sheerness (venue TBC) and Sittingbourne (venue TBC) will be illuminated by hundreds of tiny white lights. Each light will symbolise love for someone special. This is an opportunity to celebrate the memory of loved ones who have died or to pay tribute to the lives of those still living. To dedicate a light or lights please complete a form available from the hospice. Your dedication will be recorded on a Roll of Honour, which will be on view at the Lighting Ceremony for each Tree. A card will be sent to acknowledge your dedication. At each lighting ceremony silver stars will be available which can be personalised and hung on the tree. No connection is needed with the hospice to celebrate the life of a loved one who has died.
The evenings bring everyone together enjoying the readings while still paying tribute to their own personal memories. |
